Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Motorsport joined PETRONAS Lubricants International (PLI) today as the lubricant specialists launched the new range of PETRONAS Syntium with °CoolTech™ at its state-of-the-art Research & Technology Centre in Turin, Italy. The new series is designed to fight excessive engine heat and perform in high-pressure conditions. It marks PETRONAS’ entry into the hybrid car engine lubricant market and is the latest example of Formula One technology making its way from the track to the road car world.

Nissan e.dams today began its preparations for the next round of the ABB FIA Formula E championship in Hong Kong with the final day of season five in-season testing at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.

Hat-trick for Audi: For the third time in a row, the Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler team has won the E-Prix in Mexico City. In front of packed grandstands at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit, Audi driver Lucas di Grassi notched up his ninth Formula E victory with a spectacular photo finish after a breathtaking maneuver in the last second.

António Félix da Costa (POR) finished a turbulent Mexico City E-Prix (MEX), the fourth race of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship season, in second place, to take his second podium of the season after his win in Ad Diriyah (KSA). In the dramatic final stage of the race, the BMW works driver benefitted from strong energy management and moved up from fifth to a podium spot on the final lap. Through no fault of his own, Alexander Sims (GBR) was involved in an accident, which resulted in the race being interrupted, and finished the race in 14th place.

Katherine Legge started on pole position, with team mate Bryan Sellers alongside in second, round one winner, Simon Evans of Team Asia New Zealand starting in third and Jaguar VIP driver, Salvador Duran starting on the grid in fourth.
