The two American Porsche customer teams Wright Motorsports and Park Place Motorsports have achieved respectable starting positions for the eight-hour race at Laguna Seca. Matt Campbell (Australia) posted the fifth quickest time at the pole shootout in the 500+hp Porsche 911 GT3 R with the starting number 912. In the identical No. 911 car, Porsche Young Professional Mathieu Jaminet (France) achieved eight place.

The Bohemia Energy racing with Scuderia Praha Ferrari 488 GT3 (#11, Jiří Písařík / Josef Kral / Matteo Malucelli) currently leads the 2019 Hankook 12H MUGELLO after the first three hours of racing. After a scintillating start from the second row of the grid, the Ferrari has led all 85 completed laps so far around the 5.245km Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, but will start tomorrow’s re-started ‘part two’ on the same lap as the Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracán GT3 (#77, Adrian Amstutz / Patrick Kujala / Phil Keen) after a stunning late-race charge from Patrick Kujala.

Tom Onslow-Cole lapped the 5.245km Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello in an astonishing 1m 46.828s, some 0.7s faster than the Hofor-Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 (#10, Michael Kroll / Chantal Prinz / Roland Eggimann / Kenneth Heyer / Christiaan Frankenhout). The fastest single marque GT racing championship in the UK, Porsche Carrera Cup GB, enters its 17th season with an exciting split of returning drivers and promising new talent. The grid of 485 hp second-generation 911 ‘Type 991’ GT3 Cup cars get their season underway at Brands Hatch on 6 / 7 April, kick-starting a 16 round calendar taking place across eight weekends.
