ADAC GT MASTERS WITH STRONG FIELD AND EIGHT BRANDS 2021

The ADAC GT Masters will be embarking on its 15th season in 2021 with a field of more than 30 super sports cars from eight different brands. By mid-December, 20 teams had submitted their entries for the International German GT Championship, the ADAC GT Masters, and have thus secured places on the grid. The field will be even more diverse next year as Aston Martin and Honda return to the series. The ADAC GT Masters will get the new season under way in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on the weekend of 14th/16th May 2021.

LAMBORGHINI SQUADRA CORSE ANNOUNCES ITS 2021 FACTORY DRIVERS

Lamborghini Squadra Corse has unveiled its roster of Factory Drivers for the 2021 season, which will see the return of long-time Lamborghini servant Mirko Bortolotti and the graduation of recently crowned British GT champion Sandy Mitchell into the ranks. Also stepping up is the Lamborghini Young Driver of the year Raul Guzman, who will become the development test driver of the Huracán GT3 Evo.

MUSTANG SAMPLING RACING/JDC-MILLER MOTORSPORTS CONFIRM DRIVERS AND IMSA PROGRAM

Minnesota based JDC-Miller MotorSports in partnership with Mustang Sampling Racing confirmed today that Loïc Duval, Tristan Vautier and Sébastien Bourdais will return to the program for 2021. The all French lineup raced together in the team’s 2020 Mustang Sampling Racing/JDC-Miller MotorSports No. 5 entry in several races during last year’s championship. 

T3 MOTORSPORT TO FIELD LAMBORGHINIS 2021 ADAC GT MASTERS

All good things come in threes! Fielding no less than three Lamborghinis, T3 Motorsport intend to cause a sensation in the 2021 ADAC GT Masters. As they embark on their third year in the series, the German outfit are planning to deploy three Huracán GT3 Evos in the ADAC GT Masters which will have the status of ‘International German GT Championship’ for the first time next season.

AUDI SPORT CUSTOMER RACING SUCCESSFUL AGAIN IN 2020

Audi Sport customer racing can look back on a list of outstanding successes at the end of a highly compressed season with its customers. Even though the number of races worldwide in the 2020 pandemic year was down by around 37 percent, the Audi Sport customer racing models were similarly successful in their categories as in the previous year.

AUDI SPORT SECOND IN THE KYALAMI 9 HOUR

In an extremely thrilling finale of the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC), Audi Sport Team WRT improved from seventh place to second position. Mirko Bortolotti/Frédéric Vervisch/Charles Weerts crossed the finish line 22 hundredths of a second behind the winners in the rain chaos behind the safety car. However, in addition to the joy about the improvement in the course of the race, there was also disappointment in the Audi camp: victory seemed within reach shortly before the end.

SRO MOTORSPORTS GROUP AND ADAC GT MASTERS STRENGTHEN COOPERATION

There will be no clash of dates next year between three of the world’s top GT series. The ADAC and Stéphane Ratel’s SRO Motorsport Group have aligned their calendars for 2021 to make it possible for teams and drivers to contest the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli, the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS and the International German GT Championship in the ADAC GT Masters. Also, the ADAC and SRO intend to go on working together and intensify cooperation in other areas.

PORSCHE INTENDS TO DEFEND ITS IGTC TITLE AT THE SEASON FINALE IN SOUTH AFRICA

Porsche heads to the final round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) with a very clear goal: The sports car manufacturer from Stuttgart is eager to defend its titles at the nine-hour race in Kyalami. The customer squads GPX Racing and Dinamic Motorsport will each field a 500+hp Porsche 911 GT3 R in the Pro-category at the South African racetrack close to Johannesburg. In the Pro-Am class, the Hack Racing team campaigns the identical model of the GT3 racer from Weissach.
