The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns to Watkins Glen International for the sixth round of the 12-race season, the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen on Sunday, July 1. The race also represents the third round of the four-race Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup season.

GABBY CHAVES JOINS MUSTANG SAMPLING RACING AT WATKINS GLEN

Young open wheel pilot Gabby Chaves will make his return to IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar competition next weekend as he joins Mustang Sampling Racing for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen. Chaves will team up with Filipe Albuquerque and Christian Fittipaldi in the No. 5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac Prototype as the team pursues a third consecutive victory in the prestigious event.

BMW M6 GTLM WINS AT WATKINS GLEN

Bill Auberlen and Alexander Sims raced the No. 25 BMW Team RLL BMW M6 GTLM to victory today at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen. The win was the 14th for the BMW Team RLL program since 2009 and the first for the BMW M6 GTLM platform.
