The highly-competitive and entertaining Touring Car division of the Pirelli World Challenge will return next month (June 23-25) as part of the KOHLER Grand Prix with the Verizon IndyCar Series at the legendary Road America four-mile road circuit.
Rodrigo Baptista took advantage of lapped traffic to take the lead heading up the hill at Lime Rock Park and went on to take the GTS race victory by a slim margin of .178 seconds, driving Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR in Pirelli World Challenge competition. It was Flying Lizard Motorsports’ first PWC victory.
The Long/Lieb duo was the fourth different team to win in SprintX this year with the Ferrari (Mancinelli/Montermini), Mercedes (Morad/Dalziel) and Cadillac (Cooper/ J. Taylor) earlier standing on the victory podium.
