ERA MOTORSPORT DEMONSTRATES PERSISTENCE AND TENACITY AT THE ROLEX 24

Era Motorsport, defending Rolex 24 At Daytona winners, had high hopes of a repeat win this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. Though the No. 18 Oreca had early race setbacks in the 24-hour endurance race, the drivers and crew of Era Motorsport kept pushing, determined to produce their best effort to the end. A mechanical issue ended the LMP2 team’s day early, just 30 minutes before the checkered flag. 

ERA MOTORSPORT CONFIRMS IMSA 2022 SEASON

Era Motorsport, winners of the 2021 Rolex 24 At Daytona, will return to competition in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for the 2022 race season, again racing the Oreca LMP2 07 car. Dwight Merriman and Ryan Dalziel will race together as the full-season drivers, reuniting the race-winning pair while team owner Kyle Tilley will act as the endurance driver in the calendar’s four endurance races.

CONTACT REMOVES ERA MOTORSPORT FROM PETIT LE MANS

Motul Petit Le Mans ended in heartbreak for Era Motorsport just 30 minutes after the race began, following contact from a DPi car in the opening stint. The No. 18 Oreca, sporting a livery designed by a seven-year-old race fan, became one of the big stories of the weekend heading into the race, only to have their hopes to win the Michelin Endurance Championship dashed early on.

ERA MOTORSPORT CRAYON CAR RETURNS FOR IMSA PETIT LE MANS FINALE

Era Motorsport is closing out the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season in style this weekend, returning to the fan-designed “Crayon Car” livery the No. 18 Oreca LMP2 car sported for the first race of the year, the Rolex 24 At Daytona. The team drove to victory at the 24-hour endurance race in January, earning their first IMSA win in a livery created by Owen, a then six-year-old fan from Ontario, Canada. This weekend, the Indianapolis-based team will proudly wear the livery once again for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season finale at Petit Le Mans.

MERRIMAN AND DALZIEL TEAM UP AGAIN AT LAGUNA SECA FOLLOWING ROAD AMERICA WIN

Following their race win in the LMP2 class at Road America last month, Dwight Merriman and Ryan Dalziel will race as co-drivers again at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, on Sunday, September 12 in the No. 17 Era Motorsport Oreca. Despite missing one race this year, the two-time IMSA race winners are fourth in the championship standings. The sixth event in the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, this weekend’s race at Laguna Seca will act as the penultimate race for the LMP2 class.

ERA MOTORSPORT RETURNS TO LE MANS WITH IDEC SPORT RACING

This week, the 89th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans takes place, and after a last-minute driver swap and abbreviated test day, the team behind the No. 17 IDEC SPORT / Era Motorsport Oreca rides into the famed event with both excitement and trepidation. Following a shoulder injury, Era Motorsport team owner and driver Kyle Tilley will sit out this year’s race and will be replaced by French racing driver Thomas Laurent.

ERA MOTORSPORTS DOMINATES TO WIN ROAD AMERICA

Six months since their victory at the Rolex 24 victory at Daytona, Era Motorsport has returned to victory circle with top honours this weekend at Road America, winning the IMSA SportsCar Weekend in the LMP2 class. The team, originally slated to only run the 2021 North American Endurance Cup decided last minute to join the Road America race weekend to prepare for this month’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, and after an impressive start, took the lead with a large margin over the LMP2 field.

ERA MOTORSPORT RETURNS TO AMERICA FOR THE SIX HOURS OF THE GLEN

Three months have passed since Era Motorsport finished second at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, and since then, the LMP2 sports car racing team has made their European Le Mans Series debut, already completing the first three races of the season. This week, the Indianapolis-based team travels to Watkins Glen, New York for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

In their first attempt at the Twelve Hours of Sebring, Era Motorsport earned a second-place finish on Saturday in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship event. The No. 18 Oreca of Kyle Tilley, Dwight Merriman, and Ryan Dalziel started third and endured a long twelve hours of racing to earn the coveted podium position, two months after celebrating victory at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

ERA MOTORSPORT SECURES LE MANS ENTRY, CONFIRMS ELMS SEASON WITH IDEC SPORT

Era Motorsport’s sophomore season in professional sports car racing has been one for the history books, with the team kicking the year off with victory at the Rolex 24 At Daytona in January, followed by clinching the Asian Le Mans Series LMP2 Am championship in February. In addition to running the full LMP2 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Era has also secured entry into the 24 Hours of Le Mans and has confirmed participation in the European Le Mans Series, both with IDEC Sport. Kyle Tilley, Dwight Merriman, and Ryan Dalziel, who all drive in the IMSA effort, will be the three drivers in both the Le Mans and ELMS entries.

ERA MOTORSPORT SECURES COLIN BRAUN FOR NORTH AMERICAN ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP

Following a successful IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut at Daytona International Speedway last month, LMP2 sports car racing team Era Motorsport is excited to announce the addition of three-time Rolex 24 winner Colin Braun for the three remaining races of the North American Endurance Championship. The Indianapolis based sports car team earned a third place finish at the season opener, giving full time drivers Kyle Tilley and Dwight Merriman a strong foothold in the championship points battle early in the season.
