MERCEDES-AMG CUSTOMER RACING TEAMS SET FOR THE 12 HOURS OF BATHURST

Just two months after the 2022 finale in Abu Dhabi, the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) launches into an exciting new season with the Bathurst 12 Hour (3 – 5 February). The race at the Mount Panorama Circuit also marks the beginning of Mercedes-AMG’s title defence. Last year, the performance and sports car brand from Affalterbach won three of the four races on the calendar to claim not only the manufacturers’ title but also both drivers’ championships.

MERCEDES-AMG MOTORSPORT HEADING TO INDIANAPOLIS 8 HOUR WITH HIGH AMBITIONS

Eleven weeks after the action-packed TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, the second round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli beckons this weekend. The Indianapolis 8 Hour Presented by AWS, held at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway, will have its second running following the inaugural event held last year. With a high-quality line-up of seven Mercedes-AMG GT3s in total, five Customer Racing Teams will be aiming at a top result in the eight-hour race.

MERCEDES-AMG TEAM CRAFT-BAMBOO BLACK FALCON FINISHES P5 IN THE BATHURST 12 HOUR

After a flawless team effort at the 2020 Bathurst 12 Hour, Mercedes-AMG Team Craft-Bamboo BLACK FALCON completes another successful but challenging weekend at the Australian endurance classic. Making its debut in the highly competitive 36 car field, the new-for-2020 Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Mercedes-AMG factory drivers Maro Engel, Luca Stolz and Yelmer Buurman at the wheel fought at the front all race long, and led the race on several occasions, displaying their highly competitive pace.

MERCEDES-AMG TEAM CRAFT-BAMBOO RACING TO ENTER EDOARDO MORTARA AND ALESSIO PICARIELLO IN THE 2019 FIA GT WORLD CUP

Craft-Bamboo Racing, an Official Performance Team of Mercedes-AMG, will be contesting the FIA GT World Cup at the 66th Macau Grand Prix, fielding two Mercedes-AMG GT3’s at the prestigious event in November. The team confirms the signing of Tsingtao Beer as title sponsor for the #77 Mercedes-AMG GT3 for Edoardo Mortara, and Evisu as title sponsor for the sister #88 entry for Alessio Picariello.

MERCEDES-AMG TEAM CRAFT-BAMBOO RACING CONFIRMS 2-CAR ENTRY FOR THE 2019 FIA GT WORLD CUP

Mercedes-AMG Team Craft-Bamboo Racing confirms a 2-car entry for the 2019 FIA GT World Cup as part of the 66th Macau Grand Prix. The Official Performance Team of Mercedes-AMG will field two Mercedes-AMG GT3s at this prestigious and world renowned event at the Guia Street Circuit in Macau, one driven by Swiss GT star Edoardo Mortara, and the other by Belgium’s rising young gun Alessio Picariello. Title sponsors and liveries for the #77 and #88 Mercedes-AMG GT3 entries will be announced in the coming weeks.

CRAFT-BAMBOO RACING CONFIRMS RETURN TO MOUNT PANORAMA FOR THE 2020 BATHURST 12 HOUR

Craft-Bamboo Racing confirms a return to the 2020 Bathurst 12 Hour in the pro category, as part of the 2020 Intercontinental GT Challenge. The team will compete at the infamous Mount Panorama circuit in Australia with one entry, and a possibility of a second entry to be confirmed at a later date. The driver lineup is yet to be finalized, but it is likely to again be fielded by Mercedes-AMG factory drivers at the famous race down under.

CRAFT-BAMBOO RACING HEADS TO THE PENULTIMATE ROUND OF THE 2019 BLANCPAIN GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA

After a strong showing at Fuji Speedway in June that saw Craft-Bamboo Racing score a podium result in GT3 and victory in GT4, the team heads to Yeongam, Korea with confidence of fighting at the front again. It has been a long waited return to the Korea International Circuit, which has given the team much to celebrate over the years including two pole-positions, an overall victory, and several podium finishes in GT3. For this round, Mercedes-AMG factory driver Maximilian Goetz will join Craft-Bamboo Racing’s line-up in place of Alessio Picariello, whom will be back with the team in #88 at the season finale in Shanghai. Experienced Singaporean GT driver Richard Wee will also stand in for Jean-Marc Merlin in GT4, whom will be driving alongside Frank Yu in the #77 Mercedes-AMG GT4.

BLANCPAIN GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA PODIUM FINISH FOR NIELSEN AND O’YOUNG AFTER GREAT FIGHT THROUGH THE FIELD

Craft-Bamboo Racing’s Christina Nielsen and Darryl O’Young achieve their second podium of the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia after an incredible fight through the field starting from 14th position in Race 2. In the #88 car, Alessio Picariello scored his third straight pole position, but despite setting the fastest lap in Race 2, was unable to achieve another win after an unlucky safety car intervention followed by track limit drive-through penalty for the #88 entry near the end of the race ended their challenge. Melvin Moh had put the #55 entry in a competitive position after a great stint, handing the car to teammate Daniel Au in 4th place before his fight with the chasing pack.

CRAFT-BAMBOO RACING BEGIN THE 2019 BLANCPAIN GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA SEASON WITH AN OVERALL VICTORY AND 2 PODIUM FINISHES IN SEPANG

The opening rounds of the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia season were held at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia, and it also marked Craft-Bamboo Racing’s first outing in the series as an Official Performance Team of Mercedes-AMG. The team began the 2019 season in style, victorious in Race 1 after a stellar drive from the #88 J-Fly Racing Pairing of Jeffrey Lee and Alessio Picariello, and the #99 pairing of Darryl O’Young and Christina Nielsen finished on the podium again in Race 2. In the GT4 class, the #77 car with Frank Yu and Jean-Marc Merlin bounced back after a difficult first race to finished 2nd on Sunday.

VICTORY FOR LEE AND PICARIELLO AT THE INAUGURAL ASIA GT FESTIVAL

Craft-Bamboo Racing started the first race weekend of 2019 in style, with Alessio Picariello and Jeffrey Lee in the #88 Mercedes-AMG GT3 victorious on Sunday, while Frank Yu and Malaysian racing star Jazeman Jaafar in the sister #77 car finish 2nd after an enthralling battle which saw Jaafar challenging for the win during the entire second half of the opening race on Saturday, but unable to find a way past.

CRAFT-BAMBOO RACING SECURES TWO LE MANS WINNERS FOR SUZUKA 10 HOUR LINE-UP

Craft-Bamboo Racing has secured two recent 24 Hours of Le Mans winners for their Suzuka 10 Hour driver line-up. This announcement comes only five days after Laurens Vanthoor and Kevin Estre took victory in the GTE Pro class at the world famous 24 Hours of Le Mans in the world’s most iconic Porsche, the ‘Pink Pig’. Completing the trio will be young Porsche driver, Mathieu Jaminet, who is best known for his domination of the Porsche Carrera Cup France. Both the team and drivers are solely focused on claiming victory in the ten-hour endurance event which will run from the 24th-26thof August as part of the SRO’s Intercontinental GT Challenge.

DARRYL O’YOUNG PARTNERS AIDAN READ IN THE #991 PORSCHE 911 GT3 R TO COMPLETE THE BLANCPAIN GT SERIES ASIA LINE-UP FOR CRAFT-BAMBOO

Darryl O’Young will partner Aidan Read in the #991 Craft-Bamboo Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, completing the team’s two car lineup that is focused on bringing home the Blancpain GT Series Asia championship title. O’Young has been a staple GT driver for Craft-Bamboo since 2014 and has contributed greatly to their success in various championships and events.
