The Roar before the Rolex 24 is rapidly approaching, which means the start of the 2018 racing season is here. Will Owen will be taking to Daytona International Speedway this weekend in his United Autosports Ligier JS P217 accompanied by teammates Bruno Senna, Hugo de Sadeleer, and Paul Di Resta.

January 5-7th is dedicated to giving the 50 entries of IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship a chance to get acclimated to their teams and stretch their legs after the winter break. However, unlike the previous format of The Roar, in 2018 the weekend will finish with a 15-minute qualifying session on Sunday, January 7th that will determine the allocation of pit boxes and grid positions for the Rolex 24.

Driver – Will Owen

“I’m very grateful to be a part of the 2018 Rolex 24. I’m driving with an unbeatable set-up with three awesome teammates Hugo, Bruno, and Paul, which will be a very strong line-up for the race. Our expectations are always open and you never know what can happen, so to do well we will have to drive clean and not make any mistakes and get to the very end to beat the other guys to the finish. There’s a lot to do to prepare, as well as so much to learn and get comfortable with, but after a year of working with United Autosports and having them teach me the ropes of endurance racing, I feel very confident that we will all be ready to tackle this race. I’m thankful for the opportunity United Autosports has provided and I’m looking forward to getting out there this weekend.”
