Trivellato Racing and Villorba Corse strengthen their partnership and launch a new motorsport challenge for the 2021 season. The Italian team, known as Trivellato Racing by Villorba Corse and led by Raimondo Amadio, will line up two Mercedes-AMG GT4s in the GT4 European Series. In addition to representing the scenario of the return of the legendary Trivellato brand in international racing, the series promoted by SRO Motorsport Group will be a new test bench for the team after last year’s brilliant results in the Italian GT Sprint Championship. The names of the drivers involved will be announced soon.
Trivellato Racing by Villorba Corse has inaugurated the year by winning the GT4 class at the Gulf 12 Hours with the only Mercedes-AMG GT4 the team lined up in Bahrain last January. Now everything is set to start a very challenging season in the GT4 European Series, a championship Villorba Corse competed in from 2016 to 2018 taking several victories and podiums as well as a Team title in the GT4 Central European Cup in 2018.
Team principal Amadio says: “Villorba Corse is pleased to return to compete in a series where the team has been one of the top contenders in the past. We believe it will be even more competitive, but we are back with great motivations. We are happy to bring a famous brand such as Trivellato to an European level again and to double our commitment from one to two Mercedes-AMG GT4s. For racing history and palmarès, the ideal horizon of our team can only find its fulfillment in the international dimension of our sport”.
