TONI FORNE GETS BACK TO BLANCPAIN GT SERIES ENDURANCE CUP IN BARCELONA WITH CAR COLLECTION

Toni Forné will be present at Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup’s season finale: the 3 hours of Barcelona. Forné will make his comeback to the series with Car Collection Motorsport, with whom Forné has previously achieved success such as the Imola 12 hours.

Forné will share the Audi R8 LMS with German drivers Dimitri Parhoffer and Frank Stippler to fight for Pro-Am Cup honours. Parhoffer is ready to begin his comeback from the injuries sustained in a private testing earlier this season, which prevented Forné and Car Collecting Racing from participating in the last races.

“I’m pleased to return to the Blancpain series at my home event in Barcelona. It’s quite special because my family, friends and fans will be attending the event. I’m looking forward to racing again in the series, the most competitive GT racing series in motorsport. And Barcelona is the right place to do it” said Forné. The local favorite underlines that “I have stepped onto the podium several times in Montmeló including in the Barcelona 24 hours, the Supercopa León or the Radical European Masters. The Blancpain series is an ultra-competitive racing series and the Pro-Am Cup isn’t an exception. We have to focus on getting a good setup for Dimitri. He already carried out a test in Barcelona, so we feel confident about achieving a competitive result. I hope to help Car Collection to be competitive.”

Qualifying will take place on Sunday morning with the 180-minute race to start at 15.00. The race will be broadcasted live on YouTube.
