The title in the German GT Championship will be decided in the Eifel region; the Nürburgring is set to host a final weekend of the ADAC GT Masters for the first time. The races that were unable to be held at the beginning of August as planned due to the flood disaster in the region have been rescheduled for 5 to 7 November. The champions of the ADAC GT4 Germany, ADAC Formula 4 and ADAC TCR Germany will also be decided in the Eifel region as part of the supporting programme of the ADAC GT Masters. All tickets already purchased for the ADAC GT Masters at the Nürburgring remain valid for the new date and do not need to be exchanged.
“We’re delighted that we were able to arrange a postponed date at the Nürburgring after we were unable to hold the race at the beginning of August after the flood disaster. It was important to us to reschedule the races there because major events like the German GT Championship are really important to the region economically, especially now. We’d like to thank the Nürburgring, the Hockenheimring and the RTL media group for their support. The battle for the ADAC GT Masters title is close and well-balanced after six races, we can already look forward to a fiercely contested autumn in the ADAC GT Masters and a thrilling title showdown at the Nürburgring,” said Lars Soutschka, Member of the Executive Board ADAC e. V..
The spectator-friendly sprint track of the Nürburgring will be used for the final weekend. Tickets for the final are available online at adac.de/motorsport, starting from 22.50 euros for ADAC members. Admission is free for children under twelve. Coronavirus protective measures in place for the weekend will be announced in advance and in good time.
