After the tragic flood disaster in the Eifel and the surrounding regions, the Nürburgring and its infrastructure will continue to be used by rescue services as a headquarters for coordinating relief efforts in the region until 8th August at the earliest. Under these circumstances, it is no longer to hold the fourth race weekend of the German GT Championship at the Nürburgring at the start of August, as was originally planned. An alternative date or venue are currently being assessed and will be announced shortly.
“The images from the Eifel and the surrounding regions have shocked us all. Our deepest sympathy and condolences are with those affected, and our respect goes to the region’s rescue services, to whom everyone involved in motorsport has a very special relationship. Since last weekend, the ADAC Air Rescue, ADAC road patrols and many volunteers from the regional and local ADAC clubs have been providing support. The Nürburgring and its team are making an important contribution to the aid effort in the region. We are now working together to try to find an alternative date for the ADAC GT Masters,” said Lars Soutschka, Member of the Executive Board ADAC e. V..
The ADAC Racing Weekend, organised by MSC Bork and scheduled to take place at the Nürburgring in the week leading up to the ADAC GT Masters from 30th July to 1st August, will also not go ahead. Information on possible alternative dates will also follow here shortly.
All tickets purchased for the ADAC GT Masters at the Nürburgring retain their validity, even if an alternative venue is used. In case of any questions regarding tickets, ticket purchasers can access the customer service team at the ADAC GT Masters ticket shop on 0351 / 30708010 or by E-mail to hello@etix.com.
