Team Redline Racing have continued their championship challenges in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB as Dan Cammish and Micah Stanley shared three class podium finishes between them at Oulton Park this past weekend (31 July / 01 August).
Following a five week break since the last rounds at Brands Hatch, the Carrera Cup GB made a welcome return at the picturesque Oulton Park. The Teesside squad has a rich history at the circuit, with no less than 14 race wins in the championship over the years.
One of the most prolific Porsche drivers in Cheshire in Dan Cammish, who had impressively won five of six races at Oulton Park in his first spell in the series. Back on the grid for 2021, he was determined for more success this time around to add to his win in the Snetterton season opener.
The 2015 and 2016 champion was straight on the pace in qualifying on Saturday morning, excelling in wet conditions to finish just 0.027s off pole position in second. He went on to hold that position from start to finish in race one that afternoon, piling the pressure on the race leader throughout.
Race two took place on Sunday afternoon in front a full trackside crowd and the live ITV4 television cameras. Cammish was right in the thick of the action throughout as he challenged for the podium places, eventually taking the chequered flag in fifth.
A welcome return to Team Redline Racing for Archie Hamilton bolstered the team’s Pro Am ranks to four cars for the weekend, as he joined 2021 ever-presents Micah Stanley, Josh Rattenbury and Josh Caygill in the ultra-competitive class.
A fantastic qualifying session saw Stanley take a second class pole position of the season, with Rattenbury completing a one-two for the team. The former converted pole into a superb lights-to-flag victory in the opening encounter, his second win of the season so far.
Rattenbury ran in the podium places early on but unfortunately slipped to seventh at the finish, one place behind team-mate Caygill. Impressively rising from seventh to fourth meanwhile was Hamilton, who previously raced for the team in the Carrera Cup GB in 2010.
Stanley capped off his best weekend in the championship so far with a brilliant drive to second in race two. Hamilton repeated his race one result in fourth, while Rattenbury gained a couple of places across the race to finish fifth ahead of Caygill.
Cammish’s fourth podium finish of the season so far means he leaves Oulton Park just one point shy of the overall championship lead, while Stanley’s top three double has moved him to eight points off the Pro Am leader.

It was great to welcome Archie back to the team and he got a good pair of fourth place finishes, while Jake and Josh had some highs and lows but showed again they have great potential in this car.”
The 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup GB season continues in just two weeks’ time with the annual trip north of the border to Knockhill in Scotland (14/15 August), before the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB returns to the BTCC support bill for a second visit of the year to Thruxton (28/29 August).
