Toro Verde GT is very happy to announce that series regular Peter Kyle-Henney will be making his return to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB with the team for the 2022 season, after sitting out the past two seasons.
Peter, a big fan and supporter of Porsche Motorsport, first started racing the marque’s machines in 2013 in the GT3 Cup Challenge GB. Moving into the Carrera Cup GB a year later, he finished second in the Pro-Am 2 (now Am class) standings, with four wins to his name.
After a partial season in 2015, Peter started a run of excellent form but also bad luck, finishing as runner up in Pro-Am 2 / Am from 2016 to 2019, securing 23 victories and a further 20 podium finishes, including a remarkable 12 wins from 15 races in 2017.
Taking the past two seasons off to focus on business, Peter returns with a renewed focus on securing the championship title which has evaded him so far in the series, and he will once again race with an eye-catching Torque Motorsport designed livery on his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.
The season begins at Donington Park over the weekend of April 23/24, taking in 16 races over eight race meetings across the United Kingdom, finishing on the famous Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit in October.

“After a few years away from the Carrera Cup, the pull to get back out on track was getting stronger and stronger and with the introduction of the 992-style 911 GT3 Cup this year, I couldn’t say no. The new car not only looks fantastic but is another brilliant Porsche to drive, so I am really looking forward to getting the season underway.
“It is exciting to be joining what is a new team, in Toro Verde GT, but with some experienced staff in key roles we might well surprise a few people this year. The competition certainly will be stiff with some talented drivers battling for the Am championship, but close racing is what we’re here for!”
