KCMG has completed its debut year campaigning the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 with a strong showing the FIA GT Nations Cup held at the Bahrain International Circuit.
The Hong Kong-based race organization represented its home country at the event which featured teams from around the world competing under the banner of 18 different countries.
Hong Kong racers Alex Au and Andy Yan drove the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 in KCMG’s final race of the year, finishing seventh in the main race after results of ninth and 15th in the two qualifying races.
KCMG has enjoyed a successful first season with the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, contesting the Blancpain GT Series Asia, the FIA GT World Cup at Macau and the Intercontinental GT Challenge round at Suzuka.
Highlights for the season including a race win for Alex Imperatori and Yukinori Taniguchi at Fuji Speedway in Blancpain GT Series Asia, top ten points finishes for Taniguchi, Edoardo Liberati, and Florian Strauss; fourth place finish in the team’s championship; second place in the Pro-Am points for Taniguchi and fifth place silver championship points finish for Liberati and Strauss.
