KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) is set to take on the second round of the 2023 Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) this weekend, looking to build on the positive showing in NLS1.
The Hong Kong-based team took pole position in the SP10 class at the Nordschleife two weeks ago as they began their first full season NLS campaign in the #47 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO.
Edoardo Liberati and Martin Rump will be joined for this weekend’s four-hour race by Australian Josh Burdon, with the team’s full line-up set to compete as a trio for the first time. Burdon has vast experience at the fearsome German track, having raced for KCMG in the series since 2019, including three times at the legendary 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
The second round of the 2023 NLS season will take place on 31 March – 1 April.
MARTIN RUMP
“I’m really excited for Round 2 and I know it’s time to bounce back following the season-opener. We’ve learnt a lot of lessons and now the goal is to put together a strong performance with no mistakes to secure a good result.”
EDOARDO LIBERATI
“We showed a lot of potential in the first race, so I’m eager than ever to get back out on track and perform. We know what Team KCMG is capable of, it’s now just about reaching that level at NLS2.”
JOSH BURDON
“I can’t wait to get out on track with the crew at the Nordschleife. This season marks an exciting new chapter with the Toyota GR Supra GT4 Evo, and I’m motivated by the challenge. Hopefully I can start my year off in the right way with a positive weekend.”
MATT HOWSON TEAM MANAGER
“Despite the result, NLS1 was incredibly encouraging for the team as we now know we are capable of competing at the sharp end. It’s great to have Josh back with the team, he brings a lot of knowledge and alongside Edo and Martin completes a trio that is highly energised. With this line-up I think we can be fighting at the front again.”
PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER
“Firstly, KCMG is very excited to welcome Josh back into the fold for NLS2, he’s been with us for many years now and alongside Edo and Martin, he completes a superb line-up that should allow us to be very competitive. This weekend the goal is to not make the same mistakes we made in NLS1, we had race-winning potential so hopefully we can build on that promise.”
