Cetilar Racing completed yesterday the 24 Hours of Le Mans qualifying, taking the 25th overall place over 62 cars and the 17th of the LMP2 category, as well as making a great job to improve the setup of the car looking forward the Saturday’s race.
The last two sessions held yesterday were very fruitful for the Italian team that worked well on the #47 Dallara-Gibson shared by Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi, technically supported by Villorba Corse.
Significant improvement have been made since the Wednesday’s free practice, with Sernagiotto on P13 of category in Qualifying 1.
“We worked a lot for the race, improving the setup of the car,” Sporting Director Christian Pescatori commented, “During the first day we had a problem at the front brakes. We made some changes to make the car easier to drive on the long distance.”
“We are pretty satisfied of our job,” Roberto Lacorte added, “Giorgio was very fast, but found some traffic with the fresh tires and couldn’t take a better result. The gap between us and the others is really tight, with six/seven cars in few tenths. Looking forward the race we are happy, because we have a very fast car and easy to drive.”
