Blancpain GT Series Asia adds live streaming in China and Hong Kong
> Now even more Asian fans can watch the largest GT entry ever assembled in China
Blancpain GT Series Asia’s Shanghai races are to be streamed live across China with native commentary this weekend after the championship’s coverage was added to several leading online platforms.
The same coverage has also been extended to Hong Kong’s biggest print and online newspaper, On.cc, which will show both races live with Cantonese commentary.
Live English language coverage is already available worldwide thanks to the championship’s free website and Facebook streams. Now, a large number of China’s popular platforms will also broadcast Shanghai’s event thanks to the country’s online motorsport platform, Wasai, which already streams the likes of Formula 1, Formula E and MotoGP.
A number of new Chinese teams and drivers have entered this weekend’s penultimate round in Shanghai. Indeed, 32 cars represents the largest GT entry ever assembled in China, while the grid is also packed with drivers and teams based in Hong Kong. One of them, Phoenix Racing Asia, debuts its two new Bentley Continental GT3s while rivals Craft-Bamboo Racing also feature a striking new livery courtesy of its partnership with Shang Peng Gao Ke.
Wasai’s coverage will be available on some of China’s most recognisable online platforms, including:
