B-Quik Absolute Racing is pleased to announce its third driver pairing for Thailand Super Series – Super Car GT3 2022: Sandy Stuvik and Akash Nandy will share an Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO 2.

Both drivers, while young and fast, are already highly experienced proven winners so we are confident that this will be a pairing that can challenge for both race victories and the Super Car GT3 Drivers’ title as well as helping us pick up the points we need in our quest for Teams’ championship success.

Sandy will start his fourth season with B-Quik Absolute Racing and it’s been a superb partnership so far with two Drivers’ titles from the first three years but after relinquishing his crown last year the 27-year-old Thai, who has just been confirmed as an Audi Sport Asia Pool Driver for a second consecutive year, will be fighting hard to claim it back!

Sandy is a real team leader for B-Quik Absolute Racing, his desire to win always fires up our garage and he’s grown into a core player as the team continues to chase success this year.

Akash, meanwhile, will be starting his first season in black and yellow but he’s very well known to our team partner Absolute Racing and has a strong pedigree to build on. Still only 25 years old he’s already had a packed career racing across Asia, mainly in single seaters, for nearly a decade with the highlight being a full season in GP3 in 2016.

The Malaysian has also raced sportscars, including GT3 and LMP2, as well as stints in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, while several outings in the former Audi R8 Cup series means he comes to the team with useful experience of the R8 GT3 under his belt. Akash has also driven in TCR to make it a very well-rounded career so far.

However, he has spent the last two years on the sidelines so he will have to blow away the cobwebs and work his way back up to speed, which we see as no issue for a driver of his experience and hunger.

This year we are upgrading our roster of Audi R8 LMS GT3s to the new 2022 “EVO 2” specification which will be fitted ready for the opening round in Bangsaen.

The four round TSS 2022 season will get underway at the end of next month (29 June-3 July)with the Bangsaen Grand Prix, the famous street race returning to the calendar following a two-year hiatus due to the knock-on effects of the Covid 19 pandemic. The remainder of the season will involve back-to-back visits to the FIA Grade 1 Chang International Circuit in Buriram on 25-28 August, 27-30 October and 8-11 December respectively.

B-Quik Absolute Racing will enter four cars in Super Car GT3 for 2022. The team will also enter cars in TSS Super Car GTC and TSS Super Eco as well as in Toyota Gazoo Racing Motorsport, RAAT Endurance Series and the Honda City Hatchback One Make Race.

Sandy Stuvik: “I’m glad to be teaming up with B-Quik Absolute Racing once again this year, I’m looking forward to seeing what the new Audi R8 GT3 EVO 2 is capable of, but it’ll be up to the Balance of Performance once again. I’m hoping the cards fall into place in a way that benefits us and as usual I will be giving it my all every second I’m in the seat. It’ll be great to roll out in Bangsaen and I hope to see a lot of spectators there for this great event!”

Akash Nandy: “I’m so honoured to confirm that I will be joining B-Quick Absolute Racing for Thailand Super Series 2022 in the Audi R8 LMS EVO 2. It brings me great joy to re-ignite my professional career in motorsports after having a two-year hiatus. I’m super excited to be partnering with Sandy Stuvik and B-Quick Absolute Racing as a strong pairing to fight for some strong results and most of all, getting back in a race car.
