AUTOWERKS B-QUIK RACING ANNOUNCES DRIVER LINE UP FOR TSS 2021

Autowerks B-Quik Racing is pleased to announce that it will enter two Porsche 991 GT3 Cup in Thailand Super Series 2021 – Super Car GTM, which kicks off at Chang International Circuit next weekend (29-31 October).

Henk Kiks and Frank Teeuwen will pair up in the No 26 entry while Warren Adulayavichitr and Shaun Walker will share the No 66.

In the No 26 Porsche, the combination of Henk and Frank gives us a very well rounded driver line up. Henk switches across to GTM from his usual place on our GT3 roster, the enforced change due to business commitments that preclude him from participating in December’s final round. He brings huge experience to lead out this car, so we’re confident that he can capably lead our chase for honours.

Frank steps up within the team and has a big leap to make as he will be racing not just a Porsche for the first time but also a ‘Cup’ level car. However, the Dutchman showed plenty of promise when he tested the car earlier this year and we expect him to get onto the pace fast and be ready to deliver come race day.

In the No 66 car, Autowerks B-Quik has a real pair of dark horses, so expect Warren and Shaun to pull a few surprises in the GTM mix.

Both are competent, gritty and experienced racers who are more than capable of getting the most out of a racecar and have plenty of pace to extract once they blow away the cobwebs while both handily know all the ins and outs of racing a Porsche.

Due to the Covid-19 situation, the calendar has been pushed back almost six months and just like last year the championship has been truncated into two rounds in Q4 with the Bangsaen Grand Prix again missing.

However, last year’s series provided an exciting and explosive chase for the titles so we’re eagerly awaiting this year’s challenges and a big thank you goes to Racing Spirit for working hard to ensure that there is another championship for everyone to fight for in 2021!

Henk Kiks: “I’m really looking forward to getting back on track, it’s been nearly a year since we last raced! It’s going to be quite a change to race a Porsche again after a number of years in the Audi, but it’s a very capable and fun racecar to drive and sharing with Frank will also be fun, that feels like it’s ten years overdue! The pressure is going to be on to keep up our chase for titles so bring it on, we’re itching to go!”

Frank Teeuwen: “I am looking forward to joining Henk in the Porsche 991. Many years ago, it all started for Henk and I with track days in our road cars and racing with classic cars which then eventually led to the B-Quik Racing we know today. For me it will be a big step up from the classic BMW E30 M3 to the Porsche 991 but I am really looking forward to the challenge.”

Warren Adulayavichitr: “With our debut race at Chang International Circuit just around the corner, I am extremely excited to be joining my team mate Shaun Walker behind the wheel of our 991.2 GT3 Cup car in the GTM Class. I’m also honored to be rocking the yellow and black livery of B-Quik Racing and being part of such a successful team. Stay tuned.”

Shaun Walker: “I’m looking forward to my first race in Thailand, with Autowerks B-Quick Racing and competing alongside my ever capable co-driver Warren in our Porsche GT3 Cup car. Driving in Thailand Super Series looks to be very exciting. I am feeling both honored and fortunate to join the grid with such experienced racers. I know Warren and I are up to the challenge and we are eager to put in a credible performance this season.”
