Automobili Lamborghini Announces 2019 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Schedule
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (November 27, 2018) – Automobili Lamborghini has announced the 2019 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America schedule.
The first round of the season will begin at a new venue for the championship in 2019 as the season will visit Barber Motorsports Park from April 5-7. The 2.38-mile, 15-turn course will challenge the field in what should be an exciting pair of 50-minute races to get the season started just outside of Birmingham, Ala.
The next four venues will be familiar stops as all will be run in conjunction with the IMSA WeatherTech Championship.
Drivers will return to their machines for Round 2 at Watkins Glen International in upstate New York the weekend of June 27-30. Round three will then be contested at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on the weekend of Aug. 2-4.
The last two race weekends include Alton, Va.’s VIRginia International Raceway from Aug. 23-25 and then WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California on the weekend of Sept. 13-15.
The final round of the year and the 2019 World Final will be contested in southern Spain at the Circuito de Jerez from October 24-27.
These two rounds mark the end of the season of all of Lamborghini’s one-make series which also includes Europe, the Middle East and Asia. It also serves as the ultimate challenge between the best drivers from around the world to decide the world champion of Lamborghini Super Trofeo.
