Competing in the IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda this past weekend at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) in Bowmanville, Ontario, Forty7 Motorsports Featuring Alianza drivers Anthony Simone and Rodrigo Pflucker showed great speed, but ran into some bad racing luck on Sunday. A victim of a chain reaction of events, Simone and Pflucker failed to reach the checkered flag but would like to congratulate Forty7 Motorsports drivers Austin McCusker and TJ Fisher on their first victory at CTMP.
“We have a flourishing partnership with Forty7 Motorsports and they prepared an unbelievable car for this past weekend,” explained Lorne Kelly. “Luck just wasn’t on our side on Sunday and unfortunately, sometimes that happens in racing. In a partnership with Forty7 Motorsports, the #74 piloted by Alianza Motorsports driver Anthony Simone and Forty7 Motorsports Rodrigo Pflucker, is equally prepared and able to compete alongside the #47 car driven by McCusker and Fischer. Forty7 Motorsports owns and prepares elite level equipment and has developed a trackside crew that is one of the best in the business. Alianza Motorsports officials and drivers were excited to see the progress over the weekend as speed trended in the right direction from the Promoters Test session into official IMSA practice before the #74 car jumped up the order in qualifying to the fourth position. Starting the race just ahead of the Forty7 Motorsports #47, the progression continued into the race with early lap times some of the quickest throughout the event before Anthony Simone was a victim of an on track incident.
Kelly continued, “Off the track, we had a very successful outing. Our business-to-business and business-to-consumer efforts went off without a hitch and the Alianza Motorsports trackside VIP Hospitality was well received. Our effort on the track was great and the Forty7 Motorsports program was exceptional once again. We have a great partner in them and growing program for the future. We are already working on our efforts for VIR in just over one month’s time.”
With multiple partners attending the event, Forty7 Motorsports Featuring Alianza welcomed members of NIKO Coins and Nikola Tesla Unite, Pinerite Soap, as well as TV personality, Real Estate Investor and Money Expert Limor Markman to the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Forty7 Motorsports Featuring Alianza also took part in the SickKids Hospital visit and RaceFest earlier in the week, launching an incredible event week, and one of the largest races for attendance ever at the iconic facility.
Kelly added, “We are very happy to be part of this winning program and wish we could have put both team cars on the podium. We will keep pushing and make that a new goal for our next event.”
The next event for Forty7 Motorsports Featuring Alianza is August 17-19 at the Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia.
