After Thursday’s pre-race testing day, 1 AIM Villorba Corse is ready for the 4 Hours of Monza. Fourth round of the 2021 European Le Mans Series on July 9-11, Italian event is the only home racing weekend on the ELMS calendar for the team led by Raimondo Amadio. that lines up #18 Ligier JS P320 powered by Nissan for racing drivers Alessandro Bressan, Damiano Fioravanti and Andreas Laskaratos. The two Italian and the Greek are expecting a high-revs weekend in the Temple of Speed and the event is particularly felt by the whole team, that will try to make up for the last two complicated races at the Red Bull Ring and Le Castellet, conditioned by unforeseen and unfortunate events.
A total of 44 cars (with 16 LMP3’s) has entered the 4 Hours of Monza. After two free practice sessions and qualifying, to be held on Saturday at 13:45hs (Central European Time), the endurance race kicks off on Sunday, July 11 at 11:00hs CET with full live streaming on www.europeanlemansseries.com .
Raimondo Amadio, Team Principal, said: “It is great to compete on our home track with such an important project as 1AIM. We are back in Monza to get back some satisfaction and try to end these last two unlucky events. It will be a very demanding weekend, that’s for sure, but we will do our best to show once and for all how competitive and important is our 1AIM program”.
Bressan added: “This is our home race and we’re determined to obtain a good result, in spite of the unlucky last couple of rounds. We are well conscious of the team’s potential, we just need a little luck to be able to fully express it. The motivation is high and we’re ready!”.
