A strong season finale with a positive result is the target of 1 AIM Villorba Corse for the sixth round of the 2021 European Le Mans Series in Portugal. Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio will be back in action on the 4.68 kilometres of the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao, where racing drivers Alessandro Bressan, Damiano Fioravanti and Andreas Laskaratos will share the #18 Ligier-Nissan LMP3.
Coming from two very solid rounds at Monza and above all at Spa-Francorchamps one month ago, when they also led part of the race, drivers and team will face such a technical circuit with maximum concentration to confirm their growing path during a very demanding weekend, that will host 17 LMP3 prototypes out of a total of 41 cars expected. After two free practice sessions and qualifying, to be held on Saturday at 15:20hs (Central European Time), the 4 Hours of Portimao will get underway on Sunday, October 24 at 14:00hs CET with full live streaming on www.europeanlemansseries.com .
Raimondo Amadio, Team Principal, said: “Portimao is a very demanding track and two of our drivers are making their debut there. In the previous round at Spa we showed some very good things improving our performance step by step. We are confident for the race because we know that what we have now is still a competitive package. We will try to finish this season in style so that we can immediately find ourselves well motivated and focused on 2022″.
