Texas Sprint Racing Series (TSRS), a karting program in the heart of the Texas, is pleased to announce plans for the upcoming 2016 season. With a race schedule now confirmed, a host of new and returning sponsors on the docket and the addition of two-cycle classes to the prominent four-cycle program, the Texas Sprint Racing Series continues to work with their customers and evolve into a program that they are asking for.

“In 2016 we are looking to grow the TSRS program so we have made a few important and necessary changes,” explained RPM RaceKarts Mike Rhodes. “We have added several two-cycle divisions that will run under the popular TaG USA rules package and limited our four-cycle divisions to Briggs LO206 and the Honda GX50 for Kid Kart. We have also secured a presenting sponsor for the 2016 program and the series will now be noted as the ‘Texas Sprint Racing Series presented by MG Tires’.”

The series is owned and operated by RPM RaceKarts, Mike Rhodes along with Mat Souza and Chance Kelly, both of Core Karting. With the series launched in early 2015, the trio looks to continue the growth for years to come. The Texas Sprint Racing Series will be running stand alone events in 2016 and will have four event weekends, growing from their 2015 schedule.

Rhodes continued, “The 2015 series was a success for the four-strokes and we averaged 32 drivers per event in our first year. We made enough revenue to continue on into 2016 and run the series. We expect to see entries double in 2016 with the limitation of some classes and the addition of others.”

The Texas Sprint Racing Series is for Beginner and Club Level racers looking for an affordable series to get exposure to other tracks and improve their driving skills without breaking their yearly budget. TSRS has partnered with all the tracks that they will be competing at in 2016 and will share the entry revenue generated to help support the track owners. The TSRS uses their end of the revenue generated to pay for the race director, tech officials, emergency medical staff, track workers and promotions allowing all fuel, oil, and race tires sales to be done through supporting kart shops.
