The Formula 4 South East Asia Championship (F4 SEA) – fueled by Petron is looking forward to a spectacular weekend filled with wheel-to-wheel racing action at the world class arena of speed – Sepang International Circuit.

F4 SEA will be bringing the heat to Sepang from the 2nd till 4th of February, 2018 as they support Asian Le Mans for the fourth event of the 2017-18 season.

This weekend marks the return of the contingent after their debut here for the opening round of the season held in conjunction with the Finale of the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix.

At the season’s opener, we saw a grid full of ambition, brimming with winning potential. The likes of Nazim Azman, Nayan Chatterjee, Eshan Pieris, Danial Frost, Shivin Sirinarinthon, Perdana Minang, Kane Shepherd and of course Daniel Cao took to the revered asphalt.

Climbing atop the winner’s podium was Daniel Cao who seized the event champion title from his formidable opponents. But it was Nazim Azman who brought the 100,000-strong crowd to their feet in a roar of victory on home soil as the local lad won the final race of the event.

“It was an emotional victory. We are one of the support races for the Finale of the Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix and to win on my home track was amazing and I’m even happier it happened in Malaysia,” said Nazim.

The event starts on Friday with testing, followed by practice and qualifying on Saturday. The six-race tussle is slated to be held on Saturday and Sunday with three races daily.

Last event Malaysian Nazim Azman wowed Thailand’s Children’s Day crowd, before former MERITUS.GP drivers Jazeman Jaafar, Afiq Ikhwan Yazid and compatriot Weiron Tan took the gold at the helm of their LMP2 race machines.

For this weekend’s event, Kane Shepherd (Event 1 Rookie Champion) will be returning to Sepang after winning the Rookie award in Buriram, hoping to use his experience to advance his race craft.

He is joined by Chinese driving sensation, Daniel Cao, who is currently leading the championship and is on the prowl for his third event title.

Buriram saw him lose his winning streak to Ugo De Wilde of Belgium, who is also returning to what is sure to be an action-packed event.

As the Official Fuel and Engine Oil Supplier to the F4 SEA Championship, Petron will once again provide their superior quality products Blaze100 fuel and fully-synthetic Blaze Racing engine oil to power F4 SEA’s cars to victory.

To top it all off, as a special treat, all 6 races will be livestreamed to facebook.com/Formula4SEA. Be sure to tune in to see who takes home the crown!
