Bruno Carneiro Motorsports Round 1,2 and 3 2017 Japan F3 Championship
First weekend of the 2017 Japan F3 Championship is in the books! As we expected, it was a weekend of a lot of learning and development.
Both Bruno and the team learned a lot about the new car and there has been a huge step forward in lap times with a 1.2 seconds improvements in set up.
After a good P8 in Qualifying, we ended with a P11 in race 1, a DNF in Race 2 and a P10 on Race 3.
On Race 3, the pace was impressive with Bruno setting his best laps of the weekend and pointing the team in a great direction for the next race in Suzuka in 3 weeks time.
Many thanks to the whole AlbirexRT crew for an incredible hard work, Mercedes-AMG for a very powerful engine and support and the fans and friends in Okayama.
In summary, the first 3 days working on set up development, placed Bruno’s lap times in the midfield, a huge result in his first weekend in the F3 C Class field proving that the decision to race in the very fast C Class was the correct one. A major step from F4 and Formula Mazda, but one that Bruno is once again showing incredible ability to adapt and improve. Welcome to the big boys club in racing Bruno Carneiro! You are in F3!
