Arden International inks partnership deal with BWT

Arden International today announce a new partnership with the Austrian-headquartered water brand, BWT. The team’s new colours will make their debut at the first official FIA Formula 2 test at the Circuit Paul Ricard when testing begins in earnest tomorrow morning.

This partnership represents BWT’s first involvement in the FIA Formula 2 Championship. The team, which will compete under the new name of BWT Arden, and will field 2017 FIA European Formula 3 title contender Maximilian Günther and 2017 GP3 Series front runner and Honda junior driver Nirei Fukuzumi.

Arden International Team Principal and CEO, Garry Horner, says “We are delighted to announce our new and exciting collaboration with BWT, which will see the Arden team sporting the striking BWT colour scheme in FIA Formula 2 this year. BWT are committed supporters of motorsport and I am particularly proud that they have chosen Arden to expand their brand into Formula 2 from this season.”

BWT Marketing Manager, Lutz Hübner, says: “In addition to our existing involvement in Formula 1, Formula 3 and Formula 4, BWT is now joining forces with British team Arden International and will compete under the new name BWT Arden. We are delighted that one of the Formula 2 cars will be piloted by the German/Austrian driver, Maximilian Günther, who made a successful start in Formula 3 in our own BWT colours in 2017.”
