Scuderia Villorba Corse heads to the Slovakiaring for the fourth round of the GT4 European Series Northern Cup. In the event, to be held from July 14 to 16, the Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio is ready for the different fights that involve with their four Maserati GranTurismo MC, each of them battling in their own category for valuable points.

In the Silver Cup Villorba Corse will be represented by a well-experienced crew such as the one formed by Paolo Meloni and Massimiliano Tresoldi, that are improving race after race, while in Pro-Am class Polish drivers Piotr and his son Antoni Chodzen will aim to finish in podium position again like they were able to do at the Red Bull Ring during last round. In Am class two cars of the House of the Trident are fighting for the highest positions in the standings: the #77 of Giuseppe Fascicolo and Romy Dall’Antonia, that are fighting back after the non-easy season opener they had at Misano, and the #93 of Manuela Gostner, who, as the first woman driver able to score a win for the team, is now second in the standings.

It is the first time the Slovakian circuit, located in Orechová Potôn (30 km from Bratislava), will host a round of the series. A grid of 31 cars is set to race on the 5,922 m long track. Action starts on Friday with two free practice sessions; a busy Saturday will follow with two qualifying session and race-1 at 17:30hrs, while race-2 will be held on Sunday at 11:05hrs.

Team Principal Amadio says: “This event marks the turning point of the championship, where our presence with Maserati has always been consistent. That underlines our will to keep on co-operating with such a prestigious brand in such an interesting series. Last time we visited the Slovakiaring was for the 2014 Blancpain GT Sprint round so with a completely different kind of package Circuit characteristics should fit positively to our GT4 cars but the track is still very demanding. Alongside our drivers we have to give our best on setting up the cars making everything working the best possible way form the first free practice session”.
