The FIA European Historic Rally Championships continue this weekend with Rallye du Chablais, as crews prepare to tackle the demanding mountain roads of Switzerland in round three of the 2026 Pre-2000 season.
Following a successful debut outing at Historic Vltava Rallye earlier this year, François Delecour and Fabrice Gordon arrive in Switzerland aiming to continue their strong form aboard the Peugeot 306 Maxi prepared by IKE Racing.
The French-Corsican pairing impressed during their first appearance together in the fully rebuilt Peugeot, securing victory in the Czech Republic and immediately establishing themselves as one of the leading combinations in the championship. Now, the crew faces an entirely different challenge on the narrow and technical roads of the Chablais region.
Unlike the fast and flowing stages seen earlier in the season, Rallye du Chablais is renowned for its twisty mountain sections, significant elevation changes and bumpy asphalt surfaces, rewarding precision and car setup throughout the weekend.
For Delecour, the event also marks a return to a rally he has only contested once previously, back in 2016. The former FIA World Rally Championship title contender is expected to be among the leading names to watch as the Peugeot 306 Maxi takes on terrain well suited to its agile handling and naturally aspirated power delivery.
Ahead of the Swiss event, IKE Racing has continued development work on the iconic French kit car, focusing heavily on traction, suspension setup and differential tuning to maximise performance on the demanding alpine roads. Extensive testing with Michelin tyre compounds has also formed part of the preparations ahead of the weekend.
The Rallye du Chablais once again promises to provide one of the most scenic backdrops of the FIA EHRC season, with crews tackling competitive stages surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the Swiss Alps. However, beneath the picturesque setting lies a highly technical rally that has traditionally rewarded consistency and precision as much as outright speed.
Action gets underway on Thursday 28th May with the opening “Leysin” special stage, before crews face two further days of competition across a total of 15 stages and more than 170 competitive kilometres.
With the championship battle wide open, Rallye du Chablais is set to deliver another demanding and spectacular chapter in the FIA European Historic Rally Championship season.
