The Spaniard of Kurdish roots, after making his debut in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup two weeks ago, will enter the final round of the Endurance Cup at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Just like at the Nürburgring event, Tutumlu will join Max van Splunteren and Manel Cerqueda to drive a Lamborghini Huracán GT3.

Isaac Tutumlu will contest next weekend’s Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup season finale at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya following his Sprint Cup series debut two weeks ago. The “Festival de la Velocidad de Barcelona” will bring curtain down to the season in style as more than fifty cars will line up on the grid next weekend. Tutumlu will drive a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 in Pro-Am Cup. Netherlands’ Max van Splunteren and Andorra’s Manel Cerqueda will complete the driver lineup for Barcelona.

“It’s great to be back in the Blancpain GT Series, now making my debut in the Endurance Cup and at the final event taking place at home in Barcelona. I’m pleased to drive the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 and I’m looking forward to delivering another strong performance after my podium on my series debut at Nürburgring. I think our prospects are exciting for next weekend, despite there are factory-backed teams in Pro-Am Cup such as Spirit of Race, Black Falcon Racing or Strakka. My pace was rather competitive considering my last race was many months ago. But I had some real pace in comparison with full-season drivers”, explains Tutumlu. The local driver adds: “Max is a fast driver and Manel is an excellent addition to our lineup. He is a Bronze-categorized driver because his last race was several years ago. But he is extremely competitive and his racing achievements in the International GT Open and the Spanish GT Championship show it. Besides, like myself, he has plenty of experience at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. We are a competitive team. A three-hour race always has a wide variety of pit strategies, so it will be interesting.”

Saturday’s free practice session will take place at 9.00 and pre-qualifying session will start at 16.40. The, on Sunday the single qualifying session is scheduled at 9.00. The 3-hour race will get underway at 15.00.
