Aron Taylor-Smith claimed a rather unexpected victory in race 2 at Brands Hatch Indy for the second meeting of the year.
With ever changing conditions over this weekend, a last minute rainfall left many drivers struggling for grip on slicks. It became quite a wild and memorable race with many drivers falling off the circuit, big slides and near misses. Aron managed to delicately maneuver his way through the treacherous racing field moving up from his starting position of 13th, eventually landing himself in second place. It was a textbook overtake for the lead on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit, with Aron diving down the inside of Ricky Collard on the Paddock Hill Bend.
Unfortunately with the conditions continuing to worsen, the race finished under red flag due to several off track incidents around the short circuit. This show stealing victory marked the first win in 10 years for the Irishman.
