ThorSport Racing Splits From Toyota

SANDUSKY, Ohio – ThorSport Racing announced on Tuesday that the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series organization is parting ways with Toyota after six years.
ThorSport Racing switched from Chevrolet to Toyota ahead of the 2012 season. Since joining Toyota ThorSport Racing has won two championships with driver Matt Crafton, in addition to 19 race victories, 10 poles, 117 top fives and 227 top 10s.
The team has not announced which manufacturer they would be utilizing in 2018.
A complete driver and sponsor lineup for ThorSport Racing will be released in the coming weeks ahead of the season-opening NextEra Energy Resources 250 on Feb. 16 at Daytona Int’l Speedway.
Last year the team fielded full-time entires for Crafton, Ben Rhodes and Cody Coughlin, who announced Tuesday he was joining GMS Racing for 2018. Crafton and Rhodes visited victory lane, with Crafton advancing to the championship race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He finished the season fourth in the series standings while Rhodes finished the year in fifth.
