TUCKER, Ga. – Shane Sieg, the brother of NASCAR XFINITY Series regular Ryan Sieg and a former driver, died on Aug. 20. He was 34 years old.
Ryan Sieg Racing announced Shane Sieg’s passing via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.

Shane Sieg made 68 starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and two starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series during a career that spanned from 2003 to ’11. His best finish was an eighth-place finish at The Milwaukee Mile in 2004 in the Truck Series.
He was suspended indefinitely by NASCAR in 2011 after violating the sanctioning bodies’ subsistence abuse policy and for actions detrimental to the sport. He never returned to the sport.
