Chris Windom Set For Second Truck Series Start
CONCORD, N.C. — Former USAC Silver Crown Series champion Chris Windom will return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for the second time this season on Saturday at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.
Windom will pilot the No. 36 Chevrolet Silverado for MB Motorsports during Saturday’s Texas Roadhouse 200 at the .526-mile paperclip-shaped track.
The 26-year-old Illinois native made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut earlier this season during the Eldora Dirt Derby at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway, starting 20th and finishing 19th for MB Motorsports.
Windom has put together a solid season competing in USAC. He’s won four USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series events as well as one USAC Silver Crown Series race thus far this year. He won the 2016 USAC Silver Crown Series championship by five points over Kody Swanson.
