DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series teams were penalized for lug-nut infractions that occurred in Sunday’s Overton’s 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota driven by Daniel Suarez and the No. 41 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford wheeled by Kurt Busch were each found to have lug nuts that were not properly installed during post-race inspection following the race at the one-mile track.
Suarez finished sixth and Busch came home eighth.
Scott Graves, crew chief for Suarez, and Tony Gibson, crew chief for Busch, were each fined $10,000 as a result of the violations.
