DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Joe Gibbs Racing and crew chief Chris Gabehart were penalized by NASCAR on Wednesday.
Gabehart, the crew chief on the No. 20 NASCAR XFINITY Series car wheeled by Erik Jones, was fined $5,000 because the car was found to have lug nuts that were not properly installed during post-race inspection following Saturday’s Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Jones finished 23rd.
