PRACTICE: Tagliani Quickest at Trois-Rivières Quebec Driver Fastest in Pinty’s Practice Session
Alex Tagliani set the pace during Saturday’s sole NASCAR Pinty’s Series practice session for Sunday’s Le 50 Tours CanAm at Circuit Trois-Rivières.
The 43-year-old driver from Lachenaie, Quebec, ran a lap time of 1 minute, 7.742 seconds (81.203mph) around the 1.53-mile temporary street course.
Tagliani’s No.18 Lowe’s/EpiPen/St.Hubert Dodge has been quick at the previous three road courses this season, and it is clear he’s continuing the trend Trois-Rivières.
Local driver L.P Dumoulin set the second fastest time with a 1:07.749 (81.300) while two-time defending race winner Kevin Lacroix finished third in the 70 minute session.
Marc-Antoine Camirand and points leader Alex Labbe rounded out the top five finishers.
Andrew Ranger and Cayden Lapcevich came home sixth and seventh, respectively, followed by Gary Klutt, J.F Dumoulin and Anthony Simone.
Qualfying for Le 50 Tours CanAm is set to start at 5:15 p.m. The green flag will drop at 2:18 p.m on Sunday.
