Kyle Busch apparently was in a “salty” mood on social media after his third-place finish in Sunday’s Auto Club 400 — at least according to the tweet below.
Best part… no beers on this plane. Just salt! https://t.co/oNHxJOJFN4

Busch took to Twitter to respond to criticism that he didn’t do post-race interviews — not true, as he appeared in an MRN Radio interview — and go back and forth with both Kyle Busch fans and Kyle Busch haters alike. ICYMI, here are some highlights from the back-and-forth as he flew back from the West Coast:
On Kyle Larson’s tough racing:
No. He races really hard. Really well. He’s smart when it comes to the 2mile tracks and others too. He did his job. https://t.co/E2sgDoJh1H

On trying to figure out what the No. 78 is doing so well:
“Why is the earth round?” Quoting the best @JimmieJohnson. We wish we knew but gonna work to find out. https://t.co/x7NogQmiIL

On taking blame for in-race mistakes:
If it’s cause the jack dropped am I supposed to take blame? Did I do it? If we went the wrong way w the wedge, am I supposed to take blame? Did I turn the wrench? Is it always my fault no matter the reason? Is it also my fault when I win? “Sorry, I was too good today.” 🤦🏻♂️ https://t.co/8FAt7fQuWZ

A good shot at a rival driver’s fan:
Your boy sucked more then me today. Eat that crow bro! https://t.co/g96SH2ZAcu

Hey, he even converted a “hater” or two like this one:
Well ok. We’ll keep after it!! 🏆 is what it’s all about. https://t.co/vGpuxO17Zd

And he definitely has his legions of supporters, too:
We have some work to do. Some things to clean up but we will b here all year! https://t.co/E4JuaUGXiq
