MILLER VINATIERI MOTORSPORTS SET FOR FIRST TEST OF 2018
“Jack William Miller and Dylan Tavella ready for MSR Houston”
With the turn of the calendar comes a new year in the 2018 F4 United States Championship powered by Honda. With the first official test of the season scheduled for this coming weekend at the MSR Houston facility in Angleton, Texas, Miller Vinatieri Motorsports (MVM) will enter sophomore pilot Jack William Miller and rookie driver Dylan Tavella as they prepare for their assault on the upcoming racing season. Miller Vinatieri Motorsports is also pleased to announce the hiring of championship winning engineer, Tim Neff.
“We are happy that 2018 is finally here and we can get going on the season,” explained Jack Miller, Co-Owner of Miller Vinatieri Motorsports. “We have two great drivers and a solid support team around them. We were able to learn the car and the series in 2017 and are going to make a real push in 2018.”
Completing a test in mid-December at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, both Miller and Tavella were up to speed throughout the two days of on track activity and are looking forward to this coming weekend.
Miller added, “Dylan used the test to get up to speed and did a great job. His times continually decreased throughout the sessions and at the end, he was right on pace. Jack was only able to run during the first day of testing in Homestead and was quick right out of the trailer. We will continue our learning process this weekend and ensure that both drivers are comfortable in their respective cars. Since the Homestead test, we have added the engineering services of Tim Neff as we start to fine tune and find speed in our US F4 program.”
Joining Miller Vinatieri Motorsports, Neff comes with an uber-impressive resume that includes seven Firestone Indy Light Championships, countless race wins and experience in taking teams to the top of their respective series of competition.
“I am excited to join the MVM program. There are two young and talented drivers that I have the opportunity to work with and I believe they can be successful in the world of motorsports,” explained Tim Neff. “MVM has a very organized program, a solid crew and high quality equipment. I believe that all the necessary pieces are in place within this program to fight for race wins and the United States F4 Championship this season.”
