T he French F4 Championship will visit Le Castellet this weekend for the last race of the 2015 season. Michael Benyahia is eager to return to the wheel of his No. 10 car, the speed of which he displayed at the Magny-Cours event which attests to significant progress since the beginning of the season. A new opportunity is available to him to enrich his experience on a prestigious circuit such as Paul Ricard.
«I am looking forward to rejoining the French Championship on the Le Castellet circuit,» explains the youngest driver in the French F4 Championship.
«I’ll have to learn a new track, but I’m getting used to that and I am now faster at finding the right lines on an unknown track.»
Michael Benyahia’s new confidence after the Magny-Cours race will allow him to enjoy the last F4 event of the year. Now able to make the most of the car on the track, he has also improved his attack braking. In a word, he now displays great confidence and his desire to progress was increased tenfold by the performance gain recorded since the summer. After learning the Var track, Michael hopes to do well in the pack in French F4.
His goal is now to improve his race strategy and do more overtaking, to finish the season in style. At the seventh and last meeting the French F4 Championship will again share the spotlight with the GT Tour at Paul Ricard. On Friday, October 23rd, collective testing will be at 11:15am ET, then 17:10 for Qualifying. Race 1 will take place on Saturday, October 24th from 10:55 and Race 2 will start at 18:05. Finally, the start of Race 3 will be on Sunday, October 25th at 9:45.
