The R-Motorsport calendar is starting to look exceptionally busy. In addition to the challenge of the DTM, the racing team from Niederwil in eastern Switzerland has a comprehensive programme of GT racing to prepare for. Following their successful debut season in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, R-Motorsport will once again compete in one of the world’s toughest GT racing series. This year, the Swiss outfit will contest the entire Blancpain GT Series, including the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe sprint championship alongside the Endurance Cup for the first time. They will be fielding two Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT3s in each of the two championships. And for the standout fixture of the season, the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, they will be sending a third car into the fray.
After winning the Pirelli World Challenge SprintX Pro/Am title in 2018, 18 year-old champion Parker Chase is returning to the series this week for the season opening event at Circuit of The Americas with RENNtech Motorsports. The season will kick off with a double header race event at the Austin circuit, where Chase, a Texas native, will share the driving duties of the No. 89 Mercedes-AMG GT4 with Reinhold Renger in Pirelli GT4 America‘s East Pro/Am class.
The racing shoes of the retiring Christian Fittipaldi are large ones to step in to, but Mustang Sampling Racing has secured an outstanding addition for the driver line up in the 2019 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring as Brendon Hartley has been confirmed with the team.

After dominating the Dubai round, the crew of the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo no. 9 were untouchable at Abu Dhabi too, clinching the title for Target Racing on the team’s maiden season in the Middle East one-make series. Konrad Motorsport celebrated two title crowns: Axcil Jefferies and Ramez Azzam were victorious in the Pro-Am in car no. 29 while Vincent Schwartz secured the Am title behind the wheel of car no. 11. The Lamborghini Cup saw Gabriele Murroni take top honours with the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo no. 88, crowning his second season in the Super Trofeo Middle East.
