FLYING LIZARD READY FOR HOME EVENT AT SONOMA RACEWAY

Flying Lizard Motorsports has little distance to travel for the next rounds of the GT4 America championship this weekend at Sonoma Raceway. With three of their four California based shops on site at Sonoma Raceway, the team will race in front of their home crowd this weekend with Erin Vogel and the #30 Audi R8 LMS GT4. Vogel will make her GT4 America debut, becoming the first woman to race for the team in a professional series.

GRT GRASSER RACING PREPARING FOR HOME EVENT AT RED BULL RING

Home fixture, home race, a matter truly dear to the heart – these and countless other ideas and feelings spring to mind for members of Team Orange1 by GRT Grasser every season when the ADAC GT Masters comes to the Red Bull Ring for a race weekend. And we’ve reached that time of year again. It is less than ten kilometres from their home base in Knittelfeld to the Red Bull Ring at Spielberg. Obviously, it goes without saying that the event is something very special on the calendar for the outfit led by Team Principal Gottfried Grasser.

The battle lines have been drawn and the scene is set for an historic GTE showdown at Le Mans on June 15-16. BLANCPAIN GT SERIES WEEKEND ROUNDUP: CIRCUIT PAUL RICARD

Rarely is a Blancpain GT Series race won with the kind of dominant performance that Bentley Team M-Sport produced during Saturday’s Circuit Paul Ricard 1000kms. The #107 Continental GT3’s eventual margin of victory – more than 37 seconds at the chequered flag – is the biggest seen at the event and was the culmination of a stellar showing by drivers Jules Gounon, Steven Kane and Jordan Pepper.

LUCAS AUER IN VANGUARD OF FIVE ADAC GT MASTERS AUSTRIAN DRIVERS AT RED BULL RING

No Austrian driver has been able to secure victory in their ADAC GT Masters home fixture at the Red Bull Ring since 2011. Five local heroes are keen to finally bring an end to this long spell without a win in the third round of the Super Sports Car League this weekend (June 7th-9th). The squad from the Alps will be beefed up by former DTM driver Lucas Auer (24, A), who is returning to race in the series in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 prepared by Team Zakspeed BKK Mobil Oil Racing.

THE ADAC GT MASTERS AT THE RED BULL RING: HIGH-SPEED RACING IN THE ALPS

The ADAC GT Masters will hold its races at the fastest track of the year this weekend (June 7th – 9th) when 31 supercars will contest the third round of the year at the Red Bull Ring. Audi drivers Patric Niederhauser (27, CH) and Kelvin van der Linde (22, ZA, both HCB-Rutronik Racing) travel to Austria as overall leaders but their rivals, including a strong contingent of Austrian drivers and teams who want to shine in front of their home crowd, intend to challenge them for the top position.

GRT GRASSER RACING IN BLANCPAIN GT SERIES ENDURANCE CUP TOP 10 AT LE CASTELLET

GRT Grasser Racing left the Circuit Paul Ricard on Saturday with mixed feelings. In the third round of the 2019 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup at Le Castellet in France, the crews of the two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs did not have the best of weekends, despite their strong pace. Lamborghini works driver Mirko Bortolotti and his team-mates Rolf Ineichen and Christian Engelhart in the number 63 car still finished the race with a respectable P7 in a field of 49 GT3 sports cars.
