Championship challenging Blancpain Endurance Cup driver Ahmad Al Harthy and his Oman Racing team return to track action this week, at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, for two days of officially timed testing ahead of the biggest race of the season – July’s Total 24 Hours of Spa.
For the 24 Hours of Spa from July 25 to 28, Audi Sport customer racing expects more than ten Audi R8 LMS on the grid. The 24-hour race is part of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. It is also the third in five rounds of the Intercontinental GT Challenge for which Audi Sport has nominated four race cars.
For the third consecutive year, the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve serves as the venue for the Hankook 24H PORTIMAO. The event in Portugal is the first of two 24-hour races in Europe organised by Dutch agency CREVENTIC, counting towards the 24H SERIES Europe and the 24H SERIES Continents, both powered by Hankook. With the event featuring the GT division and the TCE division, a good mix of GTs and touring cars is expected for the Portuguese round. Both divisions will have separate starting groups and prize-giving ceremonies.

Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) won the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen on Sunday as Trent Hindman, Justin Marks, and Mario Farnbacher scored a decisive victory in the No. 86 AutoNation / Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) Acura NSX GT3. The victory also extends the team’s provisional championship points lead (119-103).

The duo produced a fourth-place finish at Misano in Italy, scoring points for the third time this season. Hugo de Sadeleer and Aaro Vainio made it a successful weekend all round for the team with a podium finish in the Silver Cup.

The Chang SUPER GT RACE, Round 4 of the 2019 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, was run on June 30th (Sun.) at the Chang International Circuit (4,554m × 66 laps) in Buriram, Thailand. In the GT500 class, the No. 6 WAKO’S 4CR LC500 driven by Kazuya Oshima and Kenta Yamashita started from pole position and ran on to win. In the GT300 class, the No. 10 GAINER TANAX triple a GT-R driven by Kazuki Hoshino and Keishi Ishikawa was the winner.
