EDOARDO LIBERATI RETURNS TO LAMBORGHINI SUPER TROFEO EUROPE AND VS RACING FOR NÜRBURGRING ROUND

After over one year Edoardo Liberati is set to return to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. The last appearance of the Roman racer in the one-make series was last season at Misano, when starting from the first row of the grid at the wheel of one of the VS Racing’s Huracán Super Trofeo Evos, a drive through penalty prevented him to finished first.

OREGON TEAM REACHES CRUCIAL POINT IN LAMBORGHINI SUPER TROFEO EUROPE CHALLENGE

Oregon Team hits the track this coming weekend for the fifth of six Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe rounds as the one-make series heads to the Nürburgring. After claiming their fourth win at Spa one month ago, Kevin Gilardoni and Leonardo Pulcini look at the German races as a crucial moment of the season having a 21-point margin over the second. A margin that the team led by Jerry Canevisio and Piergiorgio Testa aims to increase.

WRIGHT MOTORSPORTS RETURNS TO VICTORY CIRCLE AT ROAD AMERICA

Wright Motorsports secured two victories this weekend at Road America, scoring wins in both SRO GT World Challenge America and SRO GT America with its pair of Porsche race cars. Points leader Charlie Luck celebrated his sixth win this season in the No. 45 Porsche 911 GT3 R on Saturday in GT America, then the pair of Fred Poordad and Jan Heylen followed suit the following day, driving the No. 20 Porsche 911 GT3 R to first in class, third overall.

FOUR PODIUMS HIGHLIGHT K-PAX RACING RUN AT ROAD AMERICA

In the last three trips to “America’s National Park of Speed,” K-PAX Racing has demonstrated the ability to not only get up to speed quickly, but also use the regular Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS stop as an opportunity to gain valuable championship points late in the season. In the seventh and eighth rounds of the 2021 championship, the team collected four podiums with its Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs – a victory to keep the streak alive, as well as tighten its hold on the championship.

PORSCHE SPRINT CHALLENGE GB CHAMPIONS CROWNED AS TIM HARVEY STARS AT THRUXTON

Porsche Visit Cayman Islands Sprint Challenge GB returned to Thruxton and its position as part of the TOCA package in support of the British Touring Car Championship for its penultimate weekend of 2021. In addition to provisionally resolving two championship category battles the weekend was notable for the addition of the most successful driver in Porsche Carrera Cup GB history, 1992 British Touring Car Champion Tim Harvey, as guest driver. Harvey made his return to Porsche one-make racing after a decade away, racing in the Pro category with Team Parker Racing .A dry qualifying session on Saturday afternoon resulted in Jack Bartholomew (Redline Racing) securing his third pole position of the season, championship rival Theo Edgerton (TCR) would join him on the front row of the grid for Round 9. Ian Humphris (Valluga) started his weekend by qualifying as the fastest Am in an impressive fourth place overall. Guest driver Tim Harvey (Team Parker Racing) made a single qualifying run which was good enough to put him on the fourth row of the grid. 

K-PAX RACING RISING TO THE TOP UNDER PRESSURE

During nearly a two-month break in the Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS Championship, K-PAX Racing showed no signs of easing back on the throttle. In fact, after an extensive and strategic testing program between events, the team’s two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs hooked right up Saturday for the seventh round – two podiums in the event opener at Road America, including one victory from pole.
