THE TOM’S GR SUPRA TAKES THE WIN AT FUJI AND SUPER GT TITLE

The FUJIMAKI GROUP FUJI GT 300km RACE, Round 8 (final race) of the 2021 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, was held at the Fuji Speedway (one lap 4,563m×66 laps) in Shizuoka Prefecture on November 28 (Sun). In the GT500 class, the No. 36 au TOM’S GR Supra (Yuhi Sekiguchi/Sho Tsuboi) charged hard to the front from a 4th-position grid start to take a come-from-behind victory. In the GT300 class, the No. 60 SYNTIUM LMcorsa GR Supra GT (Hiroki Yoshimoto/Shunsuke Kohno) won the race. By finishing 3rd in this race, the No. 61 SUBARU BRZ R&D SPORT (Takuto Iguchi/Hideki Yamauchi) were able to win the first-ever series title for a SUBARU car in the GT300 class.

ENEOS X PRIME GR SUPRA TAKE SUPER GT POLE POSITION AT FUJI

The qualifying for the FUJIMAKI GROUP FUJI GT 300km RACE the, 8th and final round of the 2021 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, was held at the Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka Prefecture on November 27 (Sat). In the GT500 class, the pole position Yamashita in the No. 14 ENEOS X PRIME GR Supra (Kazuya Oshima/ /Kenta Yamashita) won his first pole position of the season by beating his own course record. In the GT300 class, Yamauchi in the No. 61 SUBARU BRZ R&D SPORT (Takuto Iguchi/Hideki Yamauchi) also won the class pole with a course record.

ANTHONY DAVIDSON OPENS SILVERSTONE’S FESTIVE EXPERIENCE

Silverstone’s Lap of Lights Christmas experience was officially opened this evening by the World Championship winning Mercedes-AMG Petronas W10 Formula 1 car driven by Anthony Davidson.   The Mercedes-AMG Petronas team embraced the Christmas spirit and decorated the car in festive lights which caused quite a spectacle for those fans who were lucky enough to be at the preview event and included NHS and Emergency Service employees and their families as well as staff from Silverstone. 

DARRYL O’YOUNG CLAIMS HIS SECOND MACAU GT CUP WIN AT THE 68th MACAU GRAND PRIX

Despite facing a major setback following a crash in Race 1 of the Macau GT Cup, Darryl O’Young came through to win a brilliant Race 2 at the 68th Macau Grand Prix. The Hong Kong driver drove a patched up #95 Mercedes-AMG GT3, placing it perfectly at the start to take an early lead. He controlled the pace from there, not allowing any chasing cars to overtake, and see home a well-deserved victory.
