FACTS AND FIGURES AHEAD OF THE ADAC GT MASTERS GRAND FINALE AT HOCKENHEIM

The countdown is on to the most exciting climax to the season in ADAC GT Masters history. In the grand finale to the 2018 championship at Hockenheim next weekend (21st – 23rd September), 15 title aspirants driving supercars sporting six different manufacturers’ badges will deliver a real thriller. With 50 points up for grabs, the top four in the overall standings are separated by only 17. 

ALESSIO PICARIELLO JOINS SIX-CAR AUDI CUSTOMER ENTRY FOR BLANCPAIN GT SERIES ASIA

Reigning Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup champion Alessio Picariello will join forces with Chinese privateer Anthony Liu for Absolute Racing at the remaining four rounds of the Blancpain GT Series Asia from this weekend in Shanghai onwards. The pair join five more Audi Sport customer entries for the penultimate fixture on the 2018 calendar with rounds nine and ten at China’s Formula 1 circuit on September 22-23.

TENSION MOUNTING IN THE RUN-UP TO FINALE AT HOCKENHEIM: THE FAVOURITES TO TAKE THE ADAC GT MASTERS TITLE

Season finales rarely get this exciting, as 15 drivers in supercars from six different brands will be in contention to secure the ADAC GT Masters title at Hockenheim this weekend (21st – 23rd September). With 50 points still to be awarded, the gap between the two championship leaders, Robert Renauer (33, GER) and Mathieu Jaminet (23, F, both Precote Herberth Motorsport), on their nearest rivals is just four points. Apart from the duo in the Porsche, drivers from Audi, BMW, Corvette, Lamborghini and Mercedes-AMG also have title ambitions.

GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES SILVER AND PRO-AM TITLE BATTLES GO TO THE WIRE AT NÜRBURGRING AS RN VISION STS WINS RACE 1

The GT4 European Series Silver and Pro-Am titles will be decided in tomorrow’s final race of the season after a very exciting first race at the Nürburgring today. Beitske Visser and Nico Menzel (#110 RN Vision STS BMW M4 GT4) capped a perfect race with their second victory of the season. The final race promises to be a thriller, with the HHC Motorsport and MDM Motorsport drivers level on points at the top after today’s race. Markus Lungstrass took a major step towards the Pro-Am championship title by winning his class, while Niki Leutwiler became the first driver to seal the title in the Am category.

POSTIGLIONE AND BASZ WIN LAMBORGHINI SUPER TROFEO EUROPE RACE 1 AT THE NURBURGRING

Fourth success for Vito Postiglione and Karol Basz, who won the first of the two races of the fifth round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe at the Nürburgring. The duo of the Imperiale Racing team, who had jumped to the top of the PRO classification during the previous round held at Spa, thus consolidated their leadership in the championship. The same can also be said for the pair of the Antonelli Motorsport team formed by Loris Spinelli and Juan Perez, who arrived first in the PRO-AM after an electrifying race end. Andrej Lewandowski, crewed with Philipp Wlazik in one of the cars of VS Racing, left all the other AM drivers behind, thus consolidating his supremacy in the same class. In the Lamborghini Cup, the Thai Supachai Weeraborwornpong (Team Lazarus) returned to the top step of the podium, from where he had been missing since the first race at Monza.
