BHURIT BHIROMBHAKDI SEIZES AUDI SPORT R8 LMS CUP CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD IN SHANGHAI

Singha Plan-B by Absolute Racing driver Bhurit Bhirombhakdi thundered to his fourth victory of the 2018 Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup season, winning round seven at the 5.451km Shanghai International Circuit and soaring to the top of the championship leaderboard with three races remaining. Second was KCMG’s Alex Au, the 2013 Am Cup champion making his presence felt on his return to the series, with ProMax Team’s Andrew Haryanto claiming the final podium place.

DS TECHEETAH ANNOUNCE DRIVERS JEAN-ÉRIC VERGNE AND ANDRÉ LOTTERER

TITLE SHOWDOWN IN THE GT4 CENTRAL EUROPEAN CUP AT ZANDVOORT

Zandvoort in the Netherlands is to play host to the final race weekend of the 2018 GT4 Central European Cup season from 5 to 7 October. With the championship still up for grabs following the penultimate round of the season at the Slovakiaring, the title battle will be decided at the undulating circuit on the Dutch North Sea coast.The drivers and teams in the GT4 Central European Cup will return to the track for the first time in six weeks. Fifteen cars and a total of seven different GT4 models will be competing for honours around the 4.320 km circuit – tension and excitement are a guarantee.

The 2019 Factory Drivers of Lamborghini Squadra Corse

Lamborghini Squadra Corse announces its Factory Drivers for the 2019 season. The confirmed drivers are Mirko Bortolotti (2017 Blancpain GT Series champion and winner of the 2018 24 Hours of Daytona), Andrea Caldarelli (2017 Blancpain GT Series champion), Marco Mapelli (record-holder at Nürburgring-Nordschleife with the Aventador SVJ), and Giovanni Venturini (2017 GT Open champion), who will compete in the most prestigious international championships at the wheel of the new Huracán GT3 EVO, presented at Nürburgring on 15th September.

NEW EVOLUTION OF THE AUDI R8 LMS FOR CUSTOMER RACING

Audi Sport customer racing presents its fourth new model in just four years: Following on from the radically new second-generation Audi R8 LMS (2015), the Audi RS 3 LMS TCR touring car (2016) and the Audi R8 LMS GT4 sports car (2017), the evolution of the Audi R8 LMS GT3 was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show on October 2, 2018. Michael-Julius Renz, Managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH, and Chris Reinke, Head of Audi Sport customer racing, revealed the model with the international exhibition visitors looking on. The new version of the model, successful worldwide in sprint and endurance racing, is tailored closely to the customer requirements regarding technology and operating costs.
