R-MOTORSPORT CONTINUE ON UPWARD TRAJECTORY

Ricky Collard and Marvin Kirchhöfer have posted the best result yet for R-Motorsport in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe. The duo produced a fourth-place finish at Misano in Italy, scoring points for the third time this season. Hugo de Sadeleer and Aaro Vainio made it a successful weekend all round for the team with a podium finish in the Silver Cup.

HARPER LEADS PORSCHE CARRERA CUP CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT AT SEASON MIDPOINT

As the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, the fastest single marque GT racing championship in the UK, closed out the first half of its 2019 season at Oulton Park, 18-year-old Porsche GB 2018 / 2019 Junior Dan Harper (JTR) emerged leading the overall championship standings. Two thrilling races in Cheshire saw victories for Junior Harper and George Gamble (Amigos Redline Racing), Harper’s other championship rival Lewis Plato (Motorbase Performance) added to his impressive tally of podium finishes with two further visits.

WAKO’S 4CR LC500 WINS SUPER GT AT BURIRAM FROM POLE POSITION

The Chang SUPER GT RACE, Round 4 of the 2019 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, was run on June 30th (Sun.) at the Chang International Circuit (4,554m × 66 laps) in Buriram, Thailand. In the GT500 class, the No. 6 WAKO’S 4CR LC500 driven by Kazuya Oshima and Kenta Yamashita started from pole position and ran on to win. In the GT300 class, the No. 10 GAINER TANAX triple a GT-R driven by Kazuki Hoshino and Keishi Ishikawa was the winner.

KOEBOLT AND KISEL CLAIM GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES RACE WIN AND POINTS LEAD AT MISANO

Jan Kisiel and Max Koebolt emerged victorious from a dramatic GT4 European Series race at the Misano World Circuit this morning. The #4 Leipert Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4 lost the lead ten minutes from the end of the second one-hour race, but last-minute drama for the #9 CMR Alpine handed victory to the Leipert Motorsport crew after all. Kisiel and Koebolt leave the Italian circuit with the Silver Cup points lead. Schwede Motorsport and Street Art Racing claimed class wins in Italy.

WAKO’S 4CR LC500 TAKES SUPER GT POLE AT BURIRAM

The qualifying for the Chang SUPER GT RACE, Round 4 of the 2019 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, took place on June 29 at the Chang International Circuit (one lap 4,554m) in Buriram, Thailand. The GT500 class pole position winner was the No. 6 WAKO’S 4CR LC500 driven by Kazuya Oshima and Kenta Yamashita with a course record of 1’23.260 by Yamashita. In the GT300 class, the class pole position went to the No. 25 HOPPY 86 MC driven by Takamitsu Matsui and Kimiya Sato, also in a course record time by Matsui. With this, these two cars will start from the front position on their respective class starting grids in the race on June 30.

PORSCHE GB JUNIOR HARPER LAYS DOWN MARKER AFTER DOMINANT OULTON PARK CARRERA CUP GB QUALIFYING

18-year-old Porsche GB 2018 / 2019 Junior Dan Harper (JTR) took the sixth pole position of his Porsche Carrera Cup GB career at Oulton Park. Harper was involved in a hard-fought battle for a front row starting spot with George Gamble (Amigos Redline Racing), Lewis Plato (Motorbase Performance) and returnee Tom Wrigley (Rob Boston Racing). The top Rookie was Tom Roche (Rob Boston Racing) who qualified an impressive fourth, but championship contender Josh Webster (Team Parker Racing) will be a driver to watch at the start of round seven as he starts from the third row of the grid.
