UNITED AUTOSPORTS CELEBRATES 300th RACE WITH AMAZING 154th PODIUM FINISH

United Autosports celebrated its 300th race in great style when Garett Grist/Tommy Erdos/Wayne Boyd recorded the Anglo-American team’s 154th podium finish in the team’s 10-year history in Spain last night. Competing in the third round of the European Le Mans Series, Grist/Erdos/Boyd scored a well-deserved LMP3 third place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the four-hour race run in the evening for the very first time in the championship’s history.

FERRARI TAKES THE TOP FOUR IN LMGTE AT THE 4 HOURS OF BARCELONA

Four Ferrari crews occupied the first four places in the LMGTE class at the close of the 4 Hours of Barcelona. A noteworthy final balance sheet for the third round of the European Le Mans Series, held today in Spain, which for the first time in its history, was played out under artificial light. The spoils, for the second time this season, went to the 488 GTE crew of Luzich Racing with Alessandro Pier Guidi, Fabien Lavergne and Nicklas Nielsen who, thanks to today’s result, become the new overall leaders.

BMW TEAM RLL FINISHES SEVENTH AND EIGHTH AT LIME ROCK PARK

BMW Team RLL finished seventh and eighth in today’s two-hour-and-forty-minute IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park, in Lakeville, Conn. Tom Blomqvist and Connor De Phillippi finished seventh in the No. 25 BMW M8 GTE after starting third. John Edwards and Jesse Krohn, driving the No. 24 M8 GTE, finished in eight place unable to improve on their qualifying position. Overall today’s result comes as a disappointment after the team had such a strong performance at the last race, starting from the front row and finishing second and fourth, at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

LE MANS CUP VICTORY FOR KESSEL RACING IN BARCELONA

Second win of the season for the Ferrari courtesy of Sergio Pianezzola and Giacomo Piccini in the fourth round of the Le Mans Cup held today on the Barcelona circuit in Spain. The crew of Kessel Racing acquitted themselves perfectly in the race to finish ahead of the Porsche of Baccani-Pera and the 488 GT3 crew of Luzich Racing with Fabien Lavergne and Mikkel Mac.

24H SERIES GEARING UP FOR 2020

With the Hankook 24H PORTIMAO in the books, teams and drivers in the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook are enjoying a well-deserved summer break before the action continues with the Hankook 24H BARCELONA (30 August-1 September). A good opportunity therefore to have a look at the upcoming season that gets underway with the Hankook 24H DUBAI (9-11 January 2020).

ELEVEN AUDI R8 LMS IN THE 2019 24 HOURS OF SPA

The 24 Hours of Spa from July 25 to 28 is a GT3 event of mammoth proportions: 72 race cars from eleven manufacturers are going to battle for victory in the most important GT3 endurance race of the year. The elite of endurance racing will be assembled in Belgium, plus many drivers from the DTM, the FIA WEC and other international racing series. Audi Sport customer racing will be on the grid of the iconic race for the eleventh time and since 2011 has clinched four overall victories and won the Coupe du Roi as the best manufacturer on three occasions.

SRO SPA SPEEDWEEK AND 24 HOURS OF SPA PROMISE 10 DAYS OF ACTION IN THE ARDENNES

This season’s Total 24 Hours of Spa will be bigger and better than ever, with a field of 73 cars establishing a new record for the event’s GT era. It is not simply a matter of quantity: as the marquee race for both the Blancpain GT Series and the Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli, some of the world’s leading teams and drivers will challenge for the top step of the podium at the iconic Belgian circuit.

VILLORBA CORSE BACK IN ACTION AT BARCELONA IN ELMS AND LMC

On July 19-20 Scuderia Villorba Corse will compete for a double challenge in the world of international endurance racing. The Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio will be back in action both in the Le Mans Cup and in the European Le Mans Series at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya one month after their third 24 Hours of Le Mans in a row. Right in the same context of the final round of the 2018-19 World Endurance Championship, Le Mans also hosted the Le Mans Cup round known as Road to Le Mans, a double-race event where the Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Mauro Calamia and Roberto Pampanini finished twice in the points, just like the Swiss crew did in Monza earlier in the season. Calamia and Pampanini are tenth in the GT3 driver standings ahead of the fourth round in Spain, which will include its main event of a two-hour race on Saturday at 13:00h CET (live streaming on http://www.lemanscup.com).
